sonoga©
pedagogy
A spirit and an approach that cultivate creativity, both on stage and in life. A lively and playful pedagogy that builds confidence and guides each person toward genuine artistic and personal growth through the power of the group.
The sonoga© pedagogy focuses on the learning journey. It takes a holistic view of the student, building on their strengths and fostering confidence, enabling them to progress more easily toward meaningful results.
Attentive to the connection between breath, body and voice, as well as to the relationship between the individual and the group, it is a teaching method developed through over twenty years of hands-on practice.
Based on an experimental approach and careful observation, its aim is to support the student’s growth and fulfillment—both as an individual and as part of a group—while developing their skills.
Incorporating improvisation and a wide range of experiences, including live stage practice, and drawing on new pedagogical approaches and research in neuroscience, Sonoga© is both a mindset and a practice that encourages creativity, on stage and in life.
Rooted in singing and theatre, the sonoga© approach can also be applied to other educational contexts.
Circle song
& impro
sonoga© method
Playful workshops for beginners to highly advanced participants that develop both creative expression (voice, music, rhythm, harmony) and essential soft skills such as daring, deep listening, co-creating, following and leading.
Accessible to everyone and shared orally, this musical practice is based on layering rhythmic, melodic, and textural patterns, gradually building an evolving polyphony.
Beyond its artistic dimension, circle song develops many musical skills: active listening, sense of rhythm, harmony, creativity, and coordination. It also strengthens group cohesion, builds confidence in oneself and in others, and illustrates an inclusive approach where everyone contributes in their own way.
Rooted in the present moment, this practice fully engages the body and attention. It stimulates memory, engages focus, and creates a powerful space of presence, while also helping reduce stress through collective energy and the joy of shared singing.
Noga’s method integrates different tools from improvisation and body-mind practices, all within a warm and playful atmosphere. This relaxed environment creates a space of trust that encourages letting go, supports engagement, and helps anchor learning in a lasting way.

Under the artistic direction of Noga, AVOCLAP opens up new possibilities. Rather than escaping reality, the festival invites audiences to experience it in a different way.
– Noga
Dare to sing, pulse, yodel, take up space, vibrate, let go — together! What if live music became a way to transform chaos into positive energy?
The festival takes place at Catalyse on a roughly biennial basis. The next edition is to be confirmed.
